Mumbai, June 9 -- Sameera Reddy has just returned from Scotland where she was filming the action thriller, Tezz and is all shaken up, literally. The actor was doing a stunt in the Perthshire forests when the bike she was riding skidded on a sharp turn and fell over.
"There was a big truck with the crew catching the action from the front and the cinematographer on a bike with an ADV (digital incamera) riding alongside. A couple of cars were also following at top speed. I could have rammed into the truck, swerved and hit the cameraman or the guys from behind could have run me over. But God was watching out for me," shivers Sameera, who was dragged along the ground for 10 to 15 seconds at 60 kmph before the bike came to a halt. Her right hand and shoulder was badly bruised as she hung on to the handle, but she didn't get any scratches on her left side as she managed to swing her leg back on the seat.
"The action director who has choreographed stunts for Pierce Brosnan's Bond adventures says my fast reflexes saved me. I'd trained for this for three months last year and not fallen once. This chase sequence was one of the last to be canned and no one had expected anything amiss. The near-fatal accident proves that when it's action, you're never too prepared for the worst," she says, adding that while the deadly shots will give the audience some thrills, director Priyadarshan, after the accident, refused to let her get on the bike again.
Sameera also did some white water rafting in the film. Any spills? "None," she retorts. "Even though I was jumping into the rapids alone I've never been afraid of water. I'm a strong swimmer and confident of always getting back on the shore."
Fortunately, all the daredevilry is over and Sameera only has a glamorous song left to shoot next month. "Anil's (Kapoor) looking really international in Tezz, Ajay's (Devgn) is hot, I'd like to believe I'll sizzle too."
