The 20 year-old, who is now a student at Brown University, Rhode Island, has confessed she is wary of intimidating her contemporaries.
Speaking to Weekend magazine she said: "I hope it doesn't complicate relationships for me. I think it can make guys quite uncomfortable. I do have to be sensitive."
The actress, who has finished filming the final Harry Potter installment, said she is conscious of not standing out amongst her peers by "trottng around college" with expensive accessories such as a "£1,000 handbag".
She admitted that her riches, thought to be in the region of £22million according to the Sunday Times Rich List, "can make guys quite uncomfortable".
Miss Watson has previously described herself as a romantic who wants "to be in love".
Earlier this month she admitted that she has been in love once before but wouldn't name the man because "it wouldn't be fair to any others".
When asked what type of men she found attractive she said "quick wit, good conversation and a great sense of humour" were most important.
She also added: "I want a man to like me for me - I want him to be authentic."
Her move to the United States is reported to have helped end her two-year relationship with Jay Barrymore, a financier. Since then she has been linked to Spanish musician Rafael Cebrian.

Scared to pose up together? Amy Childs backs out of a meeting with her idol Katie Price

  • When The Only Way Is Essex kicked off on ITV2 last month, the similarities between Amy Childs and glamour model Katie Price were hard to miss.
But after weeks of sending each other messages on Twitter and their mobiles, the two women missed out on a golden photo opportunity of being photographed together for the first time.
At Bluewater shopping centre in Kent to sign copies of her new book, the 32-year-old invited Amy, 20, to jump the queue and finally get to meet her in the flesh.

But it appears nerves may have got the better of the redhead star after she left the store without meeting her idol.
Amy was Christmas shopping with her mother and grandmother when she realised the glamour model was doing a signing.
Fans queued for hours at Bluewater to get a signed copy of Katie's fourth autobiography You Only Live Once.

Being a relative newbie to fame, perhaps Amy didn't have the guts to barge in front of the queuing fans.
Despite rumours Katie had asked for Amy to be removed by store security, the mother-of-three insisted she was looking forward to meeting her.

Price's spokesperson told the MailOnline: 'Katie Price did not see Amy Childs today.
'Amy sent Katie a text asking if she could jump the large queue and get a signed copy of her book at her Bluewater signing.

'Katie was more than happy to help out Amy and responded saying she was sat in the manager's office having lunch and invited Amy to join her and pick up a copy of the book. She was looking forward to seeing Amy but got no reply.'
Writing on her Twitter page today, 20-year-old Amy made no mention of Katie at all: 'Is having a trip to Bluewater with mummy and nan...'
Later updating: 'Had a good day Christmas shopping .... Not many presents left.
When The Only Way Is Essex started on ITV2 last month, the redhead beautician made no secret for her admiration for Jordan.

She said: 'Jordan is definitely my idol, her looks, her career, her businesses, she's fantastic.'
Just like Katie, Amy has also admitted going under the knife - having a breast enhancement operation when was 18 and having collagen in her lips.
Insisting she doesn't feel 'threatened' by Amy, Katie even gave the young wannabe her blessing after she revealed a crush on the model's ex-husband Peter Andre.
Althogh Andre, 37, has ruled out Amy as 'too young' for him, he recently met her as they both share the same management company CAN Associates.

Writing on Twitter recently, Katie teased: 'Is it coincidence or do the girls that CAN take on get romantically linked with Pete? All a bit transparent.
'Pete and Amy perfect. She is nice.'
After her recent meeting with Pete, Amy told New! magazine: 'He was so gorgeous and sweet and lovely.
'I was so excited I really thought I was going to cry. It was so nice of him to offer me his support because I’m so new to all of this and he’s been in the business for a long time.'

BBC royal wedding coverage protected from budget cuts

BBC Vision director says licence fee freeze may delay some major series, but royal wedding will be given 'due prominence'

BBC coverage of Prince William's marriage to Kate Middleton will not fall victim to funding cuts required by the freezing of the annual licence fee at £145.50, according to a senior corporation executive.
Jana Bennett, BBC Vision director, warned of "potential delays" to planned series or events because of budget cuts, but said the royal wedding on 29 April will be given "due prominence ... this will be a big-scale event".
She said that BBC1 will carry the main responsibility of bringing "everybody together" for the Westminster Abbey ceremony and accompanying celebrations.
But she added that other BBC channels could also play a part, looking at details such as the wedding dress. "I could see BBC3 doing something like that though they've already got Don't Tell the Bride," she said.
A meeting of broadcasters about covering the event will take place next week and Bennett predicted the wedding could boost the sales of high-definition TV sets in the same way the Queen's coronations enticed people to buy their first television in 1953.
Bennett admitted BBC TV series and events planned for 2012 onwards could be delayed as a result of the licence fee freeze.
She said the corporation will protect the "scale" of its London 2012 Olympics coverage but other major TV events are likely to suffer.
The BBC is facing a 16% funding cut in real terms over six years from next April, as the licence fee is frozen at the annual current level of £145.50, following the hastily negotiated and controversial deal with the government. The licence fee brings in £3.6bn a year for the BBC.
The new settlement was announced by the chancellor, George Osborne, on 20 October as part of the government's comprehensive spending review. The BBC Trust announced in September that it would sacrifice an agreed 2% licence fee rise and freeze it at £145.50 for the financial year from 1 April.
Budgets for BBC TV channels for the year from 1 April will be set by around next February and will take into account the reduction in funding, Bennett said. She added that the BBC is looking at its finances across the board due to the impending funding cuts.
Speaking at a Broadcasting Press Guild lunch in London yesterday, Bennett said the freeze amounted to a loss of around £144m, and comes on top of the deficit created by the projected £1.5bn pension black hole.
She added that the BBC is aiming for a "zero balance sheet" by the end off its charter period in 2017, and executives are looking to see how this could be achieved.
More money could come from BBC Worldwide as it has had a good year and is looking to sell off a stake in its magazines business. "There's a question of how much they are going to contribute," Bennett said.
But she was coy on speculation that she might be joining BBC Worldwide, saying "people talk to me from time to time about jobs. There's absolutely nothing I can tell you now."
She also denied she has come under political pressure over Panorama's forthcoming investigation into bids for the World Cup in 2018.
Bennett said The One Show is "in very good health" in spite of presenter Jason Manford's high-profile and sudden resignation, but no replacement is imminent. "People will be interested [in applying] because it's a great show," she added.
She said that despite Manford departing under a cloud after tweeting explicit messages: "Tweeting isn't banned. The problem is it feels private but it's public.

This week's new danceMatthew Bourne: Cinderella

Matthew Bourne: Cinderella.

Matthew Bourne: Cinderella, London

It's been more than a decade since Matthew Bourne's Cinderella was last performed in the UK and it returns this season with a distinctive and compelling makeover, complete with revised choreography and a radical re-edit of its accompanying Prokofiev score. As you'd expect from Bourne, this Cinders looks nothing like the traditional fairytale. Rather, with the help of designer Lez Brotherston the story has been updated to wartime London in 1940, with Prince Charming transformed into a dashing RAF pilot. This Cinderella also sounds different too, with Bourne and his sound designer Paul Groothius opting to give an almost cinematic emphasis to the drama of the Blitz by editing the noise of falling bombs and anti-aircraft fire into a recorded version of Prokofiev's famous 1943 score, and delivering the whole production in absorbing, graphic surround sound.

Precious Little Sleep, Buxton

At five foot two, Wayne Sleep may have been the shortest male dancer ever to be hired by the Royal Ballet but he ended up stamping his own diminutive dynamo image on to the company's repertory and far beyond, becoming a popular culture fixture in the 1970s and 80s. A fast, fizzing dancer with a virtuoso jump and a scintillating pirouette technique, Sleep had memorable roles created for him by some of the Royal's leading choreographers over the years, including Ninette de Valois, Frederick Ashton and Kenneth MacMillan. After he retired from the classical stage, Sleep developed a whole new career in musical theatre, starring in blockbusting mainstream hits such as Cats, Song And Dance and Cabaret. And it is both the length and the breadth of his dancing life that Sleep is celebrating in this latest show. Autobiographical in some of its material, and of course with Sleep himself at its centre, this production (which is getting a preview in Buxton before its 2011 tour), is playfully described its creator as a "a montage of my best spins".

Earthfall: The Factory, Caernarfon

Earthfall: The FactoryEarthfall: The Factory.
The latest production from Earthfall explores the myths and the reality surrounding the artist Andy Warhol, and the outrageous creative community he built around himself at the Silver Factory on New York's East 47th Street in the 1960s. Film footage, along with dance and live music is used to evoke the singular underground ambience of the Factory while portraying some of the models, musicians, dancers, writers and painters who frequented it. One of the stories narrated is that of the Judson Dance Theater member Freddy Herko, who took so much amphetamine on one occasion that he heroically but suicidally danced his way from a fifth-floor window to the sounds of Mozart's Sanctus. The Factory also explores the 60s zeitgeist of hedonism, decadence and protest, of which Warhol became both icon and demon.

Salman forgives John

Salman Khan, John Abraham
Salman Khan, John Abraham
The ability to forgive and success are interrelated. Success can make you happy, and when you are happy, you can forgive anyone easily. Currently, Salman Khan is exemplifying this state of mind.
Recently, Salman made up with his long-time foe John Abraham in Mehboob studios. These two actors were not on talking terms for more than four years now.
The patch-up took place on the sets of Rohit Dhawan’s directorial debut Desi Boyz, which stars John Abraham, Akshay Kumar, Chitrangada Singh and Deepika Padukone in the leading role, which is being produced under Eros International banner. On chancing with Salman Khan on the sets, John wondered how Salman will react after seeing him.
When they made an eye contact, John smiled. Noticing the discomfort in John’s eyes, Sallu went over and hugged hum. An eyewitness says, “Actually, they both took a few steps towards each other. However, the hug took everyone by surprise. Past that, there was a big celebration on the sets. Salman and John even had lunch together.”
The reason why Salman came on the sets of Desi Boyz, the source says, “Sallu came to meet Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt who are acting in the film. Sanjay’s name was recently added to the cast for a cameo.”
Ages ago, the differences started increasing between Salman and John over payments at their Rockstar stage show in 2006. By the time they cametogether to work in Ravi Chopra’s Babul, the animosity had increased and it reflected on-screen as well.
After this John continued to work with Salman’s then girlfriend Katrina Kaif in Yash Raj Films’ New York. Meanwhile Salman refused to work with John’s girlfriend Bipasha Basu. The director duo Abbas-Mastn had decided to cast Bipasha and Salman together in a mega project, but the instant Salman came to know who the heroine was he turned down the offer.
This year in June, Salman ended his cold war with Bipasha, though in this situation it was Bipasha who took the first step towards reconciliation. At the award ceremony in Sri Lanka, Bipasha walked over to Salman’s room and spoke to him at length. Since then the two have learnt to maintain a cordial relation with one another. Bipasha attended Salman’s Being Human fashion show as well.
Ram Mirchandani who is the Chief Creative Officer of Eros International was also present on the sets. He confirmed saying, “Yes John and Salman met very warmly. Salman had some to visit Rohit, John, Akshay and Deepika.”
Well, as it’s said all’s well that ends well. We wonder if Sallu is planning to forgive Vivek Oberoi….

Katrina’s and Barbara have same movie titles

Katrina Kaif, Barbara Mori

Barbara Mori’s new Spanish film My Brother’s Wife will be releasing in India this month along with the titles A Beautiful Wife in English with Spanish beautyfeaturing in Hindi. The title of Barbara’s next is very similar with the Yash Raj Films new project. This movie stars Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif and it is titled as Mere Brother ki Dulhan. Sources have revealed that both the projects have similar story lines.
My Brother’s Wife theme is adulterous, which deals with a women’s affair with her husband’s brother. However, Yash Raj Films has toned down the same version. Yash Raj has made a film on a guy (Imran) who falls for his brother’s (Ali Zafar) fiancé (Katrina). Mere Brother ki Dulhan is still under production, while Barbara’s movie is set to release in India soon.
An industry insider says, “YRF does not consider Barbara’s film has a threat for their project. They feel its release will not affect the Katrina-Imran starrer, because YRF has given a more romantic tone than an adult one. Even though the basic premise is similar, the treatment will be different.”
The distributors have considered the similarity in the title between Mere Brother ki Dulhan and My Brother’s Wife, the distributors have decided to name Mori’s film A Beautiful Wife. Dhaval Gada from Pen India is distributing this film and says, “We heard about the film Mere Brother ki Dulhan. The title did make us think that the theme of their film maybe similar to out movie, SpanishBeauty. However, we do not know their script or storyline. Anyway, we have tweaked the original story of Spanish Beauty to suit the Indian taste and the film will now reflect the triangular relationship between a husband, wife and the husband’s brother.”
When asked the spokesperson of YRF he denied of any similarities between both the movies. He says, “It is not true. There is no similarity between the twostories whatsoever.”

Priyanka-Shahid break ke baad!

They remain one of Bollywood's biggest mysteries. Were Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor dating? Bollywood says yes, of course, but the stars themselves never accepted the situation and screamed their single status from the rooftops.
Though when the fever was reportedly at its pitch, Priyanka and Shahid sizzled in Kaminey, and the world which always loves a pair of lovers, sighed in satisfaction at this new jodi. For the media, of course, this was all grist to the mill... and from every sighting of the couple to their recent alleged break-up, it all made news. Now comes the twist in the tale.
Enter Kunal Kohli, with a script for which he has signed Shahid and now wants Priyanka. Not so long ago he was miffed with Priyanka because her hectic schedule didn't give her dates to do his film with Saif Ali Khan. But Kunal is ready to forget the past. He is meeting Priyanka to talk about his film that will bring Shahid and her back onscreen. The filmmaker will also approach three other actresses because his film has two female leads playing pivotal roles. Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha and Deepika Padukone are on top of the list.

But will Priyanka agree, given that she is sick of people always talking about her equation with Shahid and ignoring her work? And that every story about her somehow brings Shahid into the picture?

There will be curiosity to see the actors working together again. Plus the movie is a love story so one can imagine the chemistry that will be on offer in case the two team up. Kunal, however, remained tight-lipped. "It is true that Shahid has been signed on. It is a love story spanning a 100 years. I cannot comment on the actresses as we haven't started casting yet," is all he said. Shahid told BT, "I have enjoyed Kunal's works in the past whether it's Hum Tum or Fanaa and I'm looking forward to this love story. Whoever he decides to be cast opposite me, I'm okay with it."
