Emma Watson fears her wealth will put off men
Emma Watson fears that she has become so rich from the Harry Potter franchise that her wealth is putting off potential boyfriends.
The 20 year-old, who is now a student at Brown University, Rhode Island, has confessed she is wary of intimidating her contemporaries.
Speaking to Weekend magazine she said: "I hope it doesn't complicate relationships for me. I think it can make guys quite uncomfortable. I do have to be sensitive."
The actress, who has finished filming the final Harry Potter installment, said she is conscious of not standing out amongst her peers by "trottng around college" with expensive accessories such as a "£1,000 handbag".
She admitted that her riches, thought to be in the region of £22million according to the Sunday Times Rich List, "can make guys quite uncomfortable".
Miss Watson has previously described herself as a romantic who wants "to be in love".
Earlier this month she admitted that she has been in love once before but wouldn't name the man because "it wouldn't be fair to any others".
When asked what type of men she found attractive she said "quick wit, good conversation and a great sense of humour" were most important.
She also added: "I want a man to like me for me - I want him to be authentic."
Her move to the United States is reported to have helped end her two-year relationship with Jay Barrymore, a financier. Since then she has been linked to Spanish musician Rafael Cebrian.
