Loewe Love

Loewe shoot with Daria Werbowy
LAST YEAR he told us about his love for Gisele (read his reasons here), but with the supermodel taking time off after giving birth, Loewe creative director Stuart Vevers has a new model crush:Vogue cover girl Daria Werbowy.
"The spring/summer 2010 collection has a youthful, almost athletic feel, and Daria felt right for this," Vevers told VOGUE.COM this morning from his office in Madrid. "In the summer, Daria had been on a sailing trip across the Atlantic and looked super healthy and glowing. She perfectly represents the Loewe woman; sexy and strong - we've been drawn to strong women like Daria since I started at Loewe. The styling is pulled together and elegant - I wanted to reference the roots of the house - but on a cool, young women like Daria, I hope feels relevant for today."
Photographed by by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, the label's spring/summer 2010 campaign sees the model almost make-up free in a mysterious garden setting, bathed in sunlight evoking the brand's Spanish heritage.
