Public display of affection: Ashlee Simpson and Vincent Piazza cosy up at Emmy Awards after-party

After a long night at the Emmy Awards, the stars were ready to let their manicured hair down.
And as well as seeing his TV show Boardwalk Empire earn Martin Scorsese the award for Best Director for a Drama Series, actor Vincent Piazza had a trophy of his own on his arm, in the form of girlfriend Ashlee Simpson.
The new couple were spotted getting cosy at the HBO Official After-Party, and it is the third night in a week the pair have paraded their new relationship in public.

They hit the red carpet this week arm in arm at the BAFTA 9th Annual Tea Party held at the L'Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
Just two nights previously, the couple made their first ever official public appearance together when they attended the Boardwalk Empire second season première in New York.
Simpson appeared to be making it loud and clear that they are officially an item, as she affectionately stroked Piazza's face and lovingly cuddled up to her beau for the cameras.

Other stars who favoured the HBO event were All My Children actress Leven Rambin, and Topher Grace, who rose to fame in That 70s show alongside Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
They were joined by Entourage actress Perrey Reeves and True Blood's Alfre Woodard as they worked the red carpet, while Game of Thrones stars in the form of Lena Headey, Michelle Fairley and Mark Addy were out in full force.

The other hottest after-party ticket was to the Governors Ball, the guestlist of which read like a who's who of Hollywood's most prominent TV faces.
Glee star Jane Lynch, who hosted the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, lead the way in a shimmering metallic frock.
She was joined by Modern Family actress Julie Bowen and writer Steve Levitan, who showed off their respective trophies after their show scooped five gongs at the ceremony.
